About Selling and Renting

Who checks the credit and does the leases?  I do!! When a prospective tenant shows an interest in your property I ask for a good faith deposit, usually the first months rent.  I then give the tenant all the applications to fill out then call you to inform you of the deposit.  Then, I check credit reports, work history and past Landlord references. If all of that is positive, I call you to tell you we have a good possible tenant for your property.  A meeting is then arranged between you, me and the tenants.  The meeting gives both you and the tenants the opportunity to meet and to discuss questions and concerns.  Once everything is agreed upon, I record everything on paper.  Then  I  prepare all the leases, addendums and all other necessary legal documents.    The final step is  a meeting for all parties to sign, usually at our office located in Jamaica Plain.  

Do you only sell in the Boston area?  Yes, I have properties for sale in Roslindale, West Roxbury, Dorchester, Brookline, Mission Hill and Roxbury. 

How will you market my property?   For "non-exclusive" listings your property will be listed with photos  in Craigslist, Boston Apartments and this website, www.Boston-Homes.net.     A comprehensive market analysis of the area your property is located in will further help me know which schools, universities or other venues  to advertise with that would best maximize interest in your property. 

Can I list my property with other agencies?  You can list your property with as many agencies you like but I encourage exlcusive agency.  By being exclusive with me,  you know your property is being supervised, your wishes respected and you would be getting maximum exposure with minimum keys out. and all the above marketing proposals set forth above. For exclusive listings,  you would get all the marketing tools we provide above AND  your property would be listed in the Rental H3MLS,  schedule a "rental open house",  arrange for  a CBRB rental sign to be placed on your property for maximum exposure,   an ad placed in The Sunday Boston Globe and the Jamaica Gazette, plus list your property with our other CBRB offices and international relocation services.   We will also work with other any other agent to best maximize your rental listing exposure.
